Mediterranean Countries and Italian Regions taking part in the event
The crème de la crème of artisans from all over the Mediterranean will take part in the event, from countries such as: Spain, France, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Turkey. Furthermore artisans should be present from Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Portugal and Germany, 45 craftsmen in all.
The “Emporio” will also host a large number of outstanding Sardinian craftsmen (90 craftsmen in all), as well as 45 artisans from other Italian regions, such as: Piemonte, Liguria, Tuscany, Lazio, Abruzzo, Umbria, Marche, Campania, Calabria.
Particular techniques from the Mediterranean
The artisans from Palestine are skilled in traditional plastering and ceramics. From Morocco we have a number of artisans who are experts in decorative techniques and the manufacture of special plaster made from natural products. Jordan and France are sending artisans who are skilled in construction work in unfired clay and in the use of bio-architectural techniques.
Egyptian artisans will present particular working techniques for leather and metal. From Lebanon arrive experts in the working of horn, copper and mosaics. Another excellent artisan in mosaics arrives from Tunisia. Spain presents excellence in the working of leather.
Buyers and the International press
More than 200 buyers will be present at the event. Most of them are from Europe: Benelux, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
Furthermore delegations from the USA, Canada, Egypt, the Arab Emirates, Israel, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand and Taiwan are also expected.
The national and international specialised press is also well represented. 30 journalists from all over Italy will participate at the event (the most important magazines in the field will be present), as well as from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Great Britian, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Ukraine, Hungary, Lebanon, Morocco, Turkey.
