"Emporio Mediterraneo" is a great opportunity for artisans to give a live demonstration of their skills, each in their own purpose-built workshop. The event will be the actual meeting place where traditional "know how" , regarding the building industry, the home, interior design and fashion will come into contact with other similar skills and also with their possible users: designers, architects, interior designers, engineers, stylists, entrepreneurs in the building industry and all those experts who can foresee the great potential of craft skills.

To uphold artisan participation in the "Emporio Mediterraneo" the Sardinian Region has undertaken: to finance the setting up of exhibition areas at Sardinia's International Trade Fair Showgrounds: to find buyers interested in establishing business and working relationships both with the participating craftsmen and also with their representatives; to set up systems for putting Mediterranean Craft Skills online.

Travel and accomodation costs are at the expense of the artisans themselves or through institutional organisations. All the other costs of organization and advertising will be funded by the Sardinian Region.

During the event artisans can sell their high-quality products and display their finished items in a museum-like exhibition. It is important to point out that the fulcrum of the event is the work of the artisans and the exhibition of their skills.
